The Locals Turn Out to Greet Me

I was given a warm reception in Peru when my bus was hijacked by angry demonstrators, who surrounded it with rocks and burning tyres. How did they know I was coming?

  1. ooo, I'm new to your blog but did you change the layout? Apologies if you didn't, it just looks different. In fact, I'm sure you did as your country photos were on the left hand side before. Well... it looks nice.

It must have been terrifying but also a little bit exciting to be caught in the middle of that riot!

  2. Emm, yes I have changed just about everything because somebody told me my previous design was 'rubbish.' I have followed their recommendations and this is what it looks like now. I'd welcome any opinions about the new look v old look.

  3. I chose this same layout for my blog, because I like the way color photography stands out on the black back ground. My oldest daughter also told me it looked more professional (so I guess we are both influenced by other people's opinions). That being said, I saw nothing wrong with the way things were setup on your blog before. I really like your new header, though!
That is Peru?! My second child used to live with my ex-husband, but she's been a very difficult teenager to live with, so not long after her father got married again he decided to send her to go live in Peru with her new step-grandmother. I fought this plan until the moment she stepped on the plane. She spent 4 months in Peru, but luckily, she never saw anything like you did. Her lack of motivation meant that all she saw while in Peru was Japanese cartoons translated into Spanish.

Your tip of the day is hilarious. I will tell the husband to buy some buckets. ;-)
Have a great weekend and don´t get in trouble!

  10. I liked the previous layout, but this one makes your pictures pop more. Please be careful out there - I'm sure you already know that.
