Corner View - Water

The theme of this week's Corner View is Water. Last year, on my six-month journey around Latin America, I saw one of the most spectacular natural displays of water on the planet: Iguazu Falls.

  2. Now that is an impressive display of the power of water in nature! Niagara is the closest I've been to such power, but this looks perfect.

  19. I always regretted missing Iguaçu Falls when I lived in Brazil 42 years ago. On my first trip back (August 2011) I decided to visit Iguaçu and also the Amazon region which I missed in the 1960s.

I used to say Machu Picchu was my favorite spot on earth, but I think Iguaçu is a tie. They are different, but equally spectacular.
