  1. The second one is the most obvious (if my understanding of obvious is correct ;)) Both are amazing and beautiful

(and not spooky at all !!! - you are right for the "spooky"... this is one of the contrasts I wanted to suggest... because the "girls" of my photo are made for children ;))

  2. Yes very different places indeed. Signs, Letters, colors...all so different, yet go together in their own respectable homes.

  3. One has so much bombardment with advertising, the other is more subtle, and yet beckons me to come on in.

  4. Hello, I recently discovered your blog and I am enjoying it very much!

For me the contrast is the level of energy. The first photo is of a city that literally pulses with electricity. It looks like a 24/7 city, active all the time. The second photo looks like a very tranquil place, a cafe that is the perfect place to relax.

  5. beautiful photos!

biggest contrast: the color palette. one screaming out load in neon, the other quiet, old-world beauty.

  6. same thing, friends/colleagues having a snack, right? I "do" like what you are proposing here, though; what's obvious for some is completely alien for others.

well, you just made me want to go visit both places so hey, off to do some extra time and save some cash. ;)

  11. The inside/outside factor and then of course the colors. Based solely on these pictures, I think I'd do better in Uruguay.

  14. I'll second Emily for the inside/outside, and for thinking I'd do better in Uraguay. This could be a psychological test for introverted vs. extroverted personalities, another contrast!

The first photo in itself made me think of Magritte's day/night painting where its day and night in the same picture.
Fun games to play in your CV. Thanks.

  16. The most obvious? Well, the difference between Oriental people and Latin people: Three persons together; but apart, and another group together; but close: The southamericans!

  17. 'Been taken a look to your Shelfari and saw "the remains of the day" I've seen the film; but haven't read the book. Have you did it? It's different from the movie, better or worse? Thanks, and have a nice weekend!

  18. In my opinion, Juanita, the book is much better than the film.
