- I have/had two big ambitions: the first to travel to 100 countries and live in 20 of them; the second to become a full-time writer. This year, I visited my 103rd country: Ethiopia. Countries I've lived in recently are: South Korea, Syria, Libya, Yemen and Romania. Right now I'm based in southern Oman, on the north-west coast of the Indian Ocean.

ReplyDeleteThis summer I'll go to the island of Noirmoutier... in France ;) Not really exotic... What's your destination???
I'm driving around the USA. It will be my 6th trip there but it's such a big country that I don't think I'll ever see all of it. Now that I've achieved my ambition of seeing 100 countries, I don't feel the same compulsion to keep visiting new ones. Although, after my American road trip, the next journey will probably be to Ethiopia.
